The Kia Soul is back and more modern and versatile than ever. The 2023 version of the Kia Soul gets a host of updates and changes, keeping things fresh and lively. The latest model year of the Kia Soul gets a new exterior redesign, adds in additional standard driver assistance features, and nixes the once optional turbo engine. The Kia Soul is available in five trim levels: LX, S, EX, GT-Line, and GT-Line Tech.
The 2023 Kia Soul loses an engine option, so there's a single engine available for all trim levels. Powering the 2023 Kia Soul is a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine that makes 47 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. This engine works with an automatic transmission and is solely available with front-wheel drive.
The Kia Soul manages plenty of comfort and convenience features across its trim levels. The base LX trim doesn't skimp, coming standard with cloth-trimmed seats, remote keyless entry, split/folding rear seats, and a roomy rear cargo storage area. The S trim gets a power driver's seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and push-button start. The EX takes things a bit further by adding a sunroof, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a leather-wrapped shift knob, rear center armrest with cupholders, and high-quality cloth upholstery. The GT-Line comes with faux leather upholstery/cloth seats and a flat-bottom steering wheel, The GT-Line Tech doesn't make any significant interior changes.
The Kia Soul shines in the safety realm thanks to a standard suite of driver assistance features. All trim levels come equipped with at least the following driver assistance features: forward collision mitigation, lane departure mitigation, automatic high beams, driver attention warning, and rear occupant alert. The S trim adds in blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert. The top-level GT-Line Tech also gains adaptive cruise control
Tech features abound with the new Kia Soul, with even the base LX trim coming equipped with a versatile set of features. The LX includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 6-speaker audio system, and Bluetooth connectivity. The S trim immediately makes some major tech changes, replacing the standard touchscreen with a 10.25-inch touchscreen. The EX and GT-Line trims don't make any major tech changes. The GT-Tech Line trim does, though. The GT-Line Tech comes with a Harman Kardon premium audio system along with multi-color LED accent lights that can pulse in time to your music.
