Safety Features
The safety features of the new EV6 include blind-spot monitoring, rear-cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and remote parking assist. Each of these safety features utilizes sensors that are located around the entire vehicle.
The blind-spot monitoring and rear-cross traffic features use the sensors on the rear of the vehicle to identify obstacles in your blind spots. When the sensors detect an imminent collision, the sensor sends a warning to the driver so that you can remain safe throughout your driving.
The adaptive cruise control uses the sensors that are in front of the vehicle. These sensors identify any vehicles that may be in front of your vehicle and sends a signal to the internal computer. Once that signal is processed, the internal computer adjusts the speed at which your vehicle is cruising. The speed is adjusted to maintain a safe distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you. This feature is great for travel outside of the Texas panhandle.
